Kate Hoyt, PhD / MFA, is a scholar, strategist, and creative practitioner of digital media technology. She uses a full range of emerging media tools to tell stories and provoke actionable change in her community. She engages in digital tools and cutting-edge techniques in both applied communication works and fine arts contexts, tapping into the potential of emerging media to uncover hidden forces that shape communities. She also studies and writes about how critical power relations shape the media landscape we experience today.
