Role: Executive Producer
The Grand Cinema, like many movie theaters, struggled during the pandemic with how to continue to serve audiences wary of venturing out due to COVID. In response, they created their “private screening” program to allow audiences to experience the splendor of cinema while limiting the crowd to those in their inner circle. The only problem? No one knew about it.
The Grand Cinema hired MediaLab to produce the above commercial highlighting its private screening program. Because the Grand is currently trying to reach out to younger crowds, we thought this would be the perfect opportunity to include student actors from Pacific Lutheran University’s Theatre program. The campaign title, “Create Your Own Experience,” highlights the additional agency audiences now have with the private screening program to shape their own movie-going adventure.
As Director of MediaLab, my role was to assign student roles in the creation of the ad, sit in on team meetings, proof and approve the script before its release to the client, attend the shoot, help with technical issues, and offer feedback and approve all drafts that went to the client.
