Role: Executive Producer
Turning the Page is a documentary produced by MediaLab at Pacific Lutheran University. The film tells the story of two Tacoma mothers working together to provide pregnant women, single mothers and their children who are experiencing homelessness in Pierce County a safe and supportive place to live while they address their barriers to housing. The film also touches on the complex issue of homelessness / houselessness in Tacoma and greater Pierce County.
As Executive Producer of the film and Director of MediaLab, my role was to meet with the documentary team every week for check-ins, help guide the topical focus of the film, attend shoots, identify gaps in reporting, offer technical guidance, and offer feedback on drafts of the film.
