Role: Creative Assistant
When the City of Denver chose my firm SE2 to handle the communications for the city’s zoning code overhaul, we knew that the project had to be accessible and relatable to the general public, who were invited to give feedback and comments on each proposed zoning map draft. Not only did we create one of the first municipal-level, interactive proposed zoning maps that allowed location-based commentary from the public, we also created an animation slider for the home page that described each of the proposed neighborhood types. The project was a success — Denver City Council approved the new zoning code in 2010.
As Creative Assistant, my role was to assist the Creative Director in establishing and communicating an overall vision for the branding, website, homepage animation, and interactive zoning map. I was also responsible for collating the zoning map comments left by the public for Urban Planning and Development to review and analyze.
